The Margarita is a classic cocktail that originated in Mexico and has been enjoyed for many decades. It is traditionally made with tequila, triple sec and lime juice, and is served in a salt-rimmed glass. The exact origin of the Margarita is uncertain, but there are several stories and legends about how it came to be. Some say it was created by American socialites visiting Mexico in the 1930s, while others believe it was invented by a bartender in Tijuana in the late 1940s. Regardless of its origin, the Margarita has become one of the most popular cocktails in the world.
