Its alluring blend of honey, citrus, ginger, smoky essence, and the remarkable Lyre’s American Malt transforms it into the quintessential libation to savor on a chilly evening. Bold and invigorating, this drink strikes a harmonious balance between tartness and spiciness, resulting in a truly exquisite flavor profile. It’s a tantalizing elixir that beckons to be savoured slowly, one sip at a time.

IDEAL GLASS

Old fashioned

 Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts (60mL/ 2 Fl Oz) Lyre’s American Malt
  • ½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) honey and ginger syrup
  • ½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) lemon juice
  • 1 Part (30mL/ 1 Fl Oz) strong smoky tea
  • (Lapsang souchong or Russian Caravan tea)

GARNISH

Ginger cube on skewer

METHOD:

  1. Shake briefly with ice
  2. Strain over large ice cube

Tips: *HONEY AND GINGER SYRUP

  • ¼ cup runny honey
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp jarred ginger

Method: 

  1. Add boiling water to honey
  2. Stir to dissolve.
  3. Add ginger and stir thoroughly, pour into bottle.
  4. Refrigerate.
